Not in his defense or mine for that matter, but.
The disease of addiction is one of the most fucked up diseases there is. It's the only disease that TELLS you, you don't have it.
Doesn't matter how many times your told, taught, shown, made example of, it still tells you, 'you can do drugs without consequences.' Oh ya..... You hear that voice in your head everyday and night for the rest of your life. Whata bitch!!!
There are alot of people that never give into that voice and they die clean and sober. (mostly sober) Still dead.<-----See what I mean. R.I.P.

People die in car accidents everyday. Yet we still drive.

We can start a thread on this, because I disagree. You start out, for the first several months, partying your fucking ass off. That is why people start drugs and alcohol. After you've been getting high for a few mos+, it's hard to quit.Oh ya, and the kicker is, you can be born with it!!! It blows serious cock. Sorry I'll stop now.
It is not hard to quit after the first time. The rest is a bunch of chickenshit excuses, if you ask me.
I hold myself responsible and accountable for my actions (including faults and mistakes). I have never once pussed out and called anything a disease. Step up, people; it's your fucking fault, and not society's. Ironically, I am typing this while drunk. It's time for people to "man-up".
I completely disagree with addiction being labeled a "disease". It is weakness, and not a disease. I will forum-battle anyone on this.

I would never TRY to forum-battle YOU. It would be like facing you in any game server 1v1, I would rather, lay on my back and lick your ball sack. <-----(I might do this anyway) With the utmost respect and undieing love for you I must report.
Scientists at the University of Cambridge report that some individuals are indeed predisposed to drug addiction by the way their brains are wired. They seem to lack the docking points  receptors  for dopamine, a signalling molecule that plays a major part in what neuroscientists call the "reward pathway" to cause the craving experienced by many smokers and addicts.
The conclusion of the study, funded by the Medical Research Council and the Wellcome Trust, is that the decrease in dopamine receptors renders an individual vulnerable to addiction and is not a consequence of chronic drug exposure. "Much more needs to be done," Dr Dalley said. "The real point of this study is that it shows that this particular receptor is diminished in number prior to taking to cocaine. Forum battling isn't about right or wrong, and I respect your beliefs. I am extremely opinionated on this matter, and that is why I said I'd forum-battle anyone over it.I would never TRY to forum-battle YOU. It would be like facing you in any game server 1v1, I would rather, lay on my back and lick your ball sack. <-----(I might do this anyway) With the utmost respect and undieing love for you I must report.

The idea, here, is not to snort cocaine to begin with. Continued drug and substance use is not an involuntary action. There are steps involved, including:
 Securing the substance
 Using the substance
 Lying to at least one person about your use (this can include yourself)
Think about running or working out in any form, for that matter. You may feel as though you can't continue, but you can if you defeat your own emotions. The human body and mind is capable of much more than most people believe. I still equate addiction to weakness.
Mind-altering substances are not needed in the same way food, water, or air is. Strong desire does not equal need. If a person quits cocaine, the worst they can expect is better health and a reality check.
I believe addiction to be a disease about as much as I do ADD.

Nether is having a small penis. But you don't see us pokin' fun at you about it. J/K couldn't resist.I don't have a dog in this fight or the one I'm going to start. I don't think depression is a disease either.

I firmly believe that anxiety and depression are not diseases and require no medication or treatment, other than a swift kick in the ass.I don't have a dog in this fight or the one I'm going to start. I don't think depression is a disease either.
