When Obama was elected into office, some referred to it as the "Great Experiement". So lets play SME and review the last few years and then move on to the future expectations. I'll go first. 1- Economy- Sure, it was in trouble long before Obama came into office, but IMHO he has only made the issue worse. Several world well known Economist said from day one, the best route was to do nothing, let it hit bottom and get the recovery started sooner. What he has done is simply put off the bottom and when it hits, it will be that much worse. Based on the current ecomony, the second slow down is now beginning. I work in a "recession proof" business, sand paper, they need to make new cars, furniture, build houses and they need it to fix up those items they can not afford to buy new. We are seeing a very weak 4th quarter, in fact there is talk of returning to 4 day work weeks if things do not look up. To me this is very scarey as we keep hearing things are getting better, but if you look at the key factors, we are barely holding even.
