Ok, so I thought my system would be able to run BF3 without much issue, but after playing the Beta, I forsee a need to upgrade, my 5870 was maxed out on low video settings, reaching temps of 68 C, compared to BC2 on high settings hitting a high of 40 C after 4 -5 hrs of gaming. Also I was seeing a lot of latency lag, dieing after reaching cover, so my CPU needs to be upgraded, so my AMD 3.4 quad core is weak. So any suggestions on what to upgrade to would be appreciated, I would like to wait until the new Intel processor is released, then pick up a couple of high end video cards, motherboard with dual network.

I have an Intel 2600k with a 5870, and the beta ran flawlessly.

G, what kind of temps did you see on your video card? My card ran it well on BOTH high and low, but got hotter then I was happy with, so I was concerned about the temps. The other common thread is Intel versus AMD, and I already realize that is a weak link and needs replaced.
