Overall Guild Status
Overall, I feel were doing rather well. These last couple weeks have been a bit slow, but were coming up on vacation time. This month, we started to consistently get T4 down to 2 nights! This is awesome! We need to keep this as a focus for next month.
Expect to see a siege or two coming soon, once our window is fixed again and I can find a good date / time.
We also have a few >> leadership changes << in Recruitment and the General Purpose area. We did also make a change to the recruitment process that awards people for voting.
Website Status
- This month we implemented Tapatalk. If your not familiar with it, its an application you install on popular smart phones to browse the forums. Its like $2 or $3 bucks - if you haven't checked it out before, its well worth it, IMO. If you encounter any errors with it, please post them >> here<<
Recruitment
- Leadership: We have some major changes in this area for this month. The first change is in the overall leader for Recruitment. Exuun has decided he is better with the ladies without all the extra power (they get intimidated o.o) So, he has decided his time with Recruitment Lead is at an end. Please be sure to thank him when you see him! He did an excellent job, with very little guidance! Taking his spot will be Jug, a.k.a Bblazin, a.k.a. Destroyer of Kittens. Please congratulate Jug when you see him.
I promise he will leave you with all 10 fingers and toes...- Recruiting New Members: As we have hit that time of year where people go on vacation, have school finishing up, etc. We need to focus on recruiting more people. Its not anything to be too worried about, as we go through this every single year. For T4, rangers, dps, and bear probably have the best chance. We are totally overflowing on soldiers of any kind and barbs *I transferred this over from last month, because it is the same*
- Recruitment Process: We are making a slight change to this. Please see the post >> here<<. You will be required to justify Yes votes again - however, for every app you vote on, you will gain 3 DKP. Please remember that in order for it to count, you have to actually post (we don't have another way to track it) and include sufficient justification (i.e. you cant say "Im voting so I can get DKPzzzz!!!!") What makes us unique is that we have the power on who gets in weigh on your shoulders.
- Family / Friend Clause: I keep hearing snide remarks on RL friends / family that "gets in" without going through the whole application process. This needs to stop. Seriously, I don't want to hear one more comment. We play this game to have fun with each other. If any of you have a RL friend, sister, brother, kid, mom, dad, uncle, cousin twice removed - I want you to be able to play with them. I mean seriously - as long as they don't break the rules, they cant hurt anything. We have a DKP system, so they have to contribute to "get stuff". Try putting yourself in the officers shoes having to tell someone you know and like that while we want them... their brother has to go. Ain't going to happen. So, I don't want to hear anymore of it, OK?
PvE
- T4 Overall Status: Aside from "trolled by holiday and Funcom event", were doing rather well in here. We are consistently getting T4 to two nights. I would like to see folks less focused on bringing their alts though. This is part of what hurts us when we have problems. As I mentioned last month - there are alts and then there are main like alts. I expect the same thing from any person who attends a raid, regardless if your on an alt or a main. If your alt does not preform compared to other members of your same class, I will ask you to switch. This is not an insult - we just have a short amount of time in there each week and we want to maximize the use of our time. That does not mean you cant bring that alt ever again... it just means you need to work on it a little more (remember, this does not just mean gear, but also practice on that toon)
- T4 Loot: All of T4 has now been on "farm status" for more than 60 days. This means there is no more mains over alts for loot. HOWEVER, if you are on an alt and your bidding against a main on something that should *really* go to them (like a tear or a weapon), I will say something to you. Since its a silent bid, you don't have the opportunity to know unless I tell you.
- T3 Crafted Weapons: Were going to pimp ourselves out more to craft weapons for non members... at a price. This price will allow us to offer better prizes for things like bounties, guild events, etc. We did get the shards for one T3 crafted weapon... which is going to Tankzo!! Please congratulate him
He is a fantastic guildie and has always been there for members when they needed it over the years. He put a lot of effort into learning Zodiac and is always willing to bring what class is needed. I don't think Ive ever seen this guy miss a raid LOL His continued generosity on this site (and the Aco site -when we were there) just really shows how this guy has a heart of gold. Thank you, Tankzo...PvP
- Bounty Hunt: Participation seems to be dipping on the Bounty Hunts. I am thinking with better prizes, maybe folks will play more. But if we continue to see a dip in participation here, we may cancel these for awhile
- Siege: Please keep an eye out for a siege. I am just waiting for a good day / time to pop up. (and to fix our window, which got bugged again)
General Purpose
- New Jr. Officer: We will be adding Nuke to these ranks (he doesn't know this yet - soooo SURPRISE) as a Jr. Officer. He will help fill in where needed to. Mainly, that is going to be helping me with PvP while Nozcof is off charge kbing Egypt
Hes also on during the day time more, so he can help with any issues while the REST OF US WORK xD Congrats, Nuke!! Ill fill you in when you get back
