My 22 year old step son came over the other day and as he was leaving he said "When I get my PS 3, It's gona be faster then YOUR computer."

Well of course I said "You wish!!!" [Most of you guys know my PC stats]
If you don't, I'm runnin' an
Asus A8n SLI Deluxe
2 Nvidia 7800GS's
2 gigs Corsair
AMD 4800+

And he said "Google PS 3 CPU" So I did and this is what I found.

Could anyone explane to me HOW Sony can sell the PS 3 for $600
with a CPU thats 10 times fast then Core2?

Well I dont know that it will be faster only when it is released will people find out. But I will say this Sony is losing nearly $300 on every unit sold that is why they are only shipping 250,000 (by the last count I saw), This could be because the chip or the fact that they have Blue-ray HD in them as well, either way they are a steal at that price (I will wait howevere and sell the one that I get for 2,500,,,, on ebay any takers) But one thing to consider that plauged the original release of the ps2 and that was the heat issue and it would corrupt the video image and then to entire drive because of the heat. So not sure if that will be a factor but I would buy a warranty nonetheless
