I'm pretty sure a best buy or walmart has one for around $15

Yeah they are major cheap ($25)...don't get one that's used...for the $$ go buy new...with a warranty.

Cheapest I have found is $65 at Newegg. Walmart they just came in at $95. I figured they should be cheaper but that was the best I could find so far.

internals.. yes 15 to 25... but external... your gonna be looking at 60 to 100.....

My brother has a laptop but doesnt want to spend the money to upgrade it because its older. He wants the external so he can use it on whatever he gets in the future. I dont know, but he doesnt always reason well and I am not trying to change his mind if thats what he wants. Just thought I would ask to help him save some $.

i would look for a cheap external, one atleast you would be able to upgrade in the future dont think it would matter if it were used you could always buy a bigger internal and swap them out later...
