"Back when we alll just played for fun??" Hey....we still do. You act as if you are the only one who has been around this game for any length of time. Part of the "fun" is pwning your opponant and being pwnd.
Since the game came out and I first loaded it up, I have never once heard that changing your name was "lame." You are simply making that up.
DC was never "taken over by people playing for points" (even if it was...is there something wrong with having fun accumulating points?) Define fun.
Considering that I spend a larger percentage of my play time on your server playing with and against your clan members, I'm not really certain what you mean by "the company you keep." Perhaps you do?
Changing my name in an online video game doesn't say anything about anything. My gosh man...
You CHOOSE to make a big deal of tracking down names, ip's, cd key hashs.....it is totally uncalled for. If someone...anyone comes in and plays right and respects the server and admins it just doesn't matter. I sense control issues here.
