actually Ford did actually produce some nice cars in the late 60s... cars that can be called Muscle cars, but IMHO, they have not done shit since then, up until the recent attempt at reviving the Stang... there was no "muscle/sports" car produced by ford. When I bought my 95 Firebird, I test drove a Trans Am.. now that car had power... more power then my brothers Stang... by far... both were stock... But in all reality, we will no longer see any muscle cars period.. at least new in the dealers that your everyday American can afford.. Sure Mopar is bring back its Challenger, and last I knew GM was bringing back its Camaro.. but I would be willing to be that both will be very limited productions... there used to be a very small percentange of people that wanted the performance car... and now with gas going so dam high.. that few will get ever fewer... Oh and the Camaro did not go away because of lack sales... like the stang did, because if you knew anything about them, was they became the Vega's of the 90's and 00's.. cheaply priced and cheaply built unless you got the higher end packages like TransAm. I know.. I bought my wife a 95 Firebird... was cheaper then buying a regular sedan, and they sold alot of them that year. They retired the Camaro because GM felt the car had lost it nitch in the market, and was becoming as I stated, the Vega of the 90's and 00's. For those of you who are not aware of the Vega... it was considered a "throw away" car, drive it 50,000 miles and replace it. The only part on it worth anything was the tranny, they were great for dirt stock cars. Hell the dam cyclinder walls were fricken some aluminum alloy. But they served the purpose they were designed for... my dad owned one, and I had a fricken blast with that car. He also owned a GMC Hornet.. LMAO.. now that was a car.. LOL But in my book, GM owns Ford... Stock versus Stock... do not bother with videos, as I stated along time ago.. you can put the worst driver behind the best car and make it look like crap. But PERSONALLY.. I think a HEMI is the best motor.. and nothing anyone can say will sway my opinion... my dream car... 67 Firebird convertible or 79 Trans Am (Silver Anniversary).. but a 68 RS/SS Camaro would fill the need nicely also OHH and do not bother tryin to tell me some RICE BURNER is a muscle car... has to have 8 cylinders and an american producer... ( FORD, GM, MOPAR, AMC, etc)

If you watch the video, he clearly states that the original had a status about it, whereas the new one is a piece of shit with a supercharger, making it fast in a straight line.

Read this. This is the 500hp ass version of the Mustang vs. the 404hp 2006 Corvette. It's pretty apparent, all across the board, that Ford makes piles of shit. They then add superchargers to said piles of shit, and call them fast.

With the same mods on both cars, no Mustang since 1985 will come within 1 second of the 'Vette's quarter mile time. Videos of blown Mustangs beating 'Vettes with exhaust do not impress anyone but Ford fans.

it does not matter who they think they impress g, its the time slip that matters! like i said before, the Vette is in a league all by itself. Vette + Mustangs do not compare with eachother. and never will! i know a blown Vette with all the right componets will beat a cobra. i'm not argueing that. what i'm argueing is what i see is all! there are no blown Vettes that i know of around these parts... Blown stangs, there everywhere! but the comment made about the GT500 getting beat by a Vette hands down, someone needs to look a little closer at that. and a vette trying to launch @ 3000 rpm's is some of the funniest shit i have ever witnessed at the track....

just my stock mustang with those SLP Loudmouths and factory h-pipe sounds recockulous!

in my opinion a vette has no business on a drag strip. thats just stupid to bring such a car to a race and flog the shit outta it! people like that i cant stand. its always the guy with all the money who thinks his z06 is going to beat up on everything! and he ends up going home with a soar ass and no pride!
