About the only good piece of drivetrain engineering Ford ever produced is the 9" rear end. You'd have to go with either that, or the Chrisman 10".

yeah g, those rearends are very nice and very strong! and i also know how much it costs to really build one. not just throw it together. now all u need to for that rearend is a nice Ford Racing modular V8! aahhh about 700 hp sounds good to me!

but i must say after writing what i did, that a ford 8.8 is also very strong. with the right parts they are virtually indistructable!

Thats usually because Chevy engines are still dirt cheap to build (and generally easier).
I think you can build a hi-po chevy engine with parts sold at walmart.
